Ilocos Region / Region 1
Situated in the northwestern region portion of Luzon. |
Cagayan Valley : Region 2
It is composed of five provinces, namely: Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, and Quirino. |
Central Luzon / Region 3
An administrative division or region of the Republic of the Philippines. |
CALABARZON / MIMAROPA : Region 4
Combined together as Southern Tagalog, until they were separated in 2002. |
Bicol Region / Region 5
It occupies the Bicol Peninsula at the southeastern end of Luzon & some other islands. |
Western Visayas : Region 6
It consists of six provinces & 17 cities making it the region with the highest number of cities. |
Central Visayas : Region 7
It is part of the Visayas. It consists of four provinces, namely, Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor. |
Eastern Visayas : Region 8
Consists of 6 provinces, namely, Biliran, Eastern Samar, Leyte, N. Samar, Samar and S. Leyte. |
Zamboanga Peninsula : Region 9
Previously known as Western Mindanao before the enactment of Exec. Order No. 36 on Sept. 19, 2001. |
Northern Mindanao : Region 10
Composed of 5 provinces & 2 cities classified as highly urbanized, the north-central part of Mindanao, & the province of Camiguin. |
Davao : Region 11
Situated on the southeastern portion of Mindanao. |
SOCCSKSARGEN : Region 12
Stands for the region's 4 provinces & one of its cities: S. Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and Gen. Santos City. |
Caraga : Region 13
The newest region in the Philippines, and is also called Region XIII. |
ARMM Region
Composed of all the Philippines' predominantly Muslim provinces. |
CAR Region / Cordillera
Consists of the provinces of Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province and Apayao. |
